New Five Colors for Assault Rifles

Date: The Near Now / Hachiman Arms, one of the Kanawa subsidiary and the No.1 weapon manufacturer in the Japanese military/paramilitary market, announced to open "home/consumer marketing division" for developing the home/consumer self-defense weapon market in Japan. In addition, Hachiman revealed the new pistols, SMGs and assault rifles with colorful, half-transparent skeletal design.
"Till now, customers have no choice for color of their self-defense weapon" said the spokesman of Hachiman. "A black Colt Government is not suitable for living room. But our blueberry 357 magnum, lime SMG and bondai-blue assault rifle can parfectly fit the interior of customer's home. For average home users, its color is much important than its range or damage value."

Trademark Dispute Settled

Date: The Near Now / Last month, the Kanawa Corporation and West End Games, a Honesdale-based RPG publisher, agreed to end the long dispute about the trademark "Kanawa Corporation."
The trademark owned by WEG had been a major obstacle for Kanawa to carry the business worldwide.
According to the agreement, Kanawa confirms the trademark belongs to WEG. In return, WEG permits Kanawa to use the trademark on hobby sites. Sorry that there is not enough space for explaining the exact legal definition of the term hobby site, and the reason why the site of a very commercial corporation is considered as a hobby site.

Tokyo Citybook Banned in Tokyo

Date: The Near Now / Last week, the bookstores in Tokyo voluntarily started to recall Tokyo Citybook. The book was published by those who called themselves the Rauru Block.
"We're very pleased that booksellers decided to recall the papercrap full of absurd rumors and propaganda including claiming our CEO as a High Lord" said Saito Horyu, the vice chairman of the Kanawa Corporation. "We appreciate the booksellers with common sense. We hope the other booksellers follow them."

Kanawa Refutes against Moody's

Date: The Near Now / Moody's Investment Service, an American bond-rating corporatoin, announced last Friday that they lowered the rating for Kanawa from Aaa to Aac. This announcement was not accompanied with enough explanation. The market reacted to the news and the stock price for Kanawa dropped by 1230yen at the Tokyo Stock Exchange. The Kanawa Corporation considers this Moody's dicision inappropriate.
"I cannot understand the change of rating" said Saito Horyu, the vice chairman of Kanawa. "Our financial state is more than healthy in spite of the recent depression of the Japanese market. No reason to think Kanawa declining. By the way, I've heard the rumor that Moody's had something to do with those called the Rauru Block, who are supposed intriguing to takeover our company. Perhaps we'd better to doubt the reliability of their dicision."
Kanawa is planning to setup the page for the refute with the financial facts.

Kanawa/Microsoft Joint Venture

Date: The Near Now / The Kanawa Corporation agreed with Microsoft to establish Ono-Sendai, a new joint venture for the research/development of brand new computer communication technologies.
According to the agreement, Kanawa provides a research/development facility located in San Francisco, with the most advanced computer communication environment in the Core Earth reality. This facility will house the Microsoft engineers who had fleed from Living Land Redmond.
"The two CEOs, Ryuchi Kanawa and Mr.Gates share common interests, and they're similar each other" said Saito Horyu, the vice chairman of Kanawa. "This partnership will bring us much advantages over our rivals such as Netscape, Oracle or Sun Microsystems."
